México Espectacular is the nighttime show at Xcaret Park that brings together in 90 minutes the history and culture of Mexico's four regions through prehispanic dance, folkloric performances, mariachi music, charreada, and lucha libre. With 30 years of existence, more than 300 artists on stage, and the natural limestone theater formed by Xcaret Park itself, this spectacular production has been seen by more than 5 million people and won the Bravo Award from the Theater Critics Association.
History
Xcaret was founded in 1990 by the Constandse brothers at a natural cenote in the Riviera Maya. The show was born in 1995 as a cultural complement to the eco-archeological park. Today it is part of the Xcaret group which operates 9 parks in the Riviera Maya. México Espectacular is the most expensive theatrical production in the history of tourist entertainment in Mexico.
