The Tianguis Turístico de México is the most significant tourism promotion event in Latin America and the Caribbean. Organized by SECTUR, it brings together over 1,000 Mexican exhibitors with 2,000 international buyers from 50 countries for 4 days of business meetings, destination presentations, and commercial agreements that drive millions of dollars in tourism contracts.
History
Founded in 1975 as 'Tianguis Turístico', the event took its name from the pre-Hispanic itinerant market. Since its creation, it has rotated through Mexico's most important tourist cities: Cancún, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Mérida, and Guadalajara. It is the showcase where Mexico presents its new destinations, infrastructure, and tourism products to the international market.
