The Todos Santos Fair is an art, music, and gastronomy festival organized by the artistic community of Todos Santos —declared a Pueblo Mágico— in Baja California Sur. With just 6,000 permanent residents but an extraordinary density of galleries, artists, and chefs, Todos Santos concentrates the best of Baja California culture over three days in November: jazz, visual arts, literature, and Pacific coast contemporary cuisine.
History
Todos Santos was a prosperous sugar production center in the 19th century and a forgotten town in the 20th. In the 1980s, American artists and writers discovered the place, drawn by its unique light, colonial architecture, and proximity to the sea. Today it is Mexico's most artistic village: 18 art galleries, 12 fine dining restaurants, and an international artist community that has organized the Todos Santos Fair annually since 2003.
