Casa Oaxaca

Oaxaca · Oaxaca de Juárez

Casa Oaxaca is the restaurant that launched the revolution of Oaxacan haute cuisine. Chef Alejandro Ruiz has spent 25 years documenting and reinterpreting the 7 moles of Oaxaca, coastal cuisine, and indigenous preparations from the Central Valleys. The space is a 19th-century colonial mansion with a central courtyard beneath a canopy of jacaranda stars, and its menu features golden chapulines, artisanal tlayudas, seasonal mole negro, and the rarest mezcals of Oaxaca. Casa Oaxaca is also a boutique hotel with 7 rooms.
